Meet the Principal
Julie Spradling
I began teaching in 2002 as a second career. While living abroad with my family, I studied at Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland and the University of Stirling. After working in marketing in Los Angeles, I earned my teaching credential at Cal State and taught in Los Angeles for five years.
After moving to Fort Wayne, I earned my Montessori credential and joined Bunche Montessori. Since then, I’ve served as a classroom teacher, Montessori resource teacher and now principal. I’ve also worked as a Montessori trainer and instructor at the Center for Montessori Education at Trine University.
Early childhood education, especially Montessori, is my passion because it builds the strongest foundation for the whole child. Plus, I just love kids’ personalities at this age!
I live in Fort Wayne with my husband, two sons and two dogs. I enjoy gardening, nature, running, cooking and, of course, Montessori education. I’m proud to continue Bunche’s tradition of offering high-quality, tuition-free public Montessori education to our community.
